The stars of Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE) returned to Yorkton Wednesday, June 24, with six hard hitting, high flying matches that saw everything from upsets to outside interference and justice served in less than three hours.

The leader of the Goat Brigade Shane Sabre opened the night up with a victory over Brett Morgan despite Morgan’s career consultant Gisele Shaw trying her best to ensure her client picked up the victory.

Yorkton’s own Robbie Gamble then successfully defended his HIW Central Canadian title - which was being defended for the first time at a CWE event – by doing away with the evil confederate Bobby Collins before Tommy Lee Curtis shocked everyone in attendance with a surprise victory over Mr. Inkredible.

Another surprise victory took place in the fourth match of the evening as “Crown Jewel” Chase Owens used all of his cunning and wit to put away “Hotshot” Danny Duggan before Duggan got the last laugh with his Cruel Summer finisher to send the fans in attendance into the intermission with the happy picture of the Crown Jewel getting what he deserved.

The fifth match of the night saw Gisele Shaw move her managerial record from 0-1 to 1-1 as her other client Travis Cole bested Carter Mason in a hotly contested bout thanks in large part to her interference as well as a spear by Brett Morgan.

The final match pitted former WWE superstar Justin Gabriel – now known as “The Darewolf” PJ Black – against one of the strongest professional wrestlers on the planet, “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin.

The two treated everyone to arguably the best wrestling match to ever happen in Saskatchewan until Chase Owens decided to make his presence felt, storming into the ring and taking out Gabriel/Black while the referee recovered from a blow.

The resulting interference allowed Elgin to score the pinfall victory, however Elgin would then aid Gabriel in getting revenge on Owens as the night ended with Owens face down in the middle of the ring unconscious.

CWE will be returning to Yorkton Tuesday, September 29, with Central Canada’s first-ever all-female wrestling tour titled the “Girls, Girls, Girls Tour”.
