The hockey season is long finished with but that doesn't stop teams from making a little noise from time to time.

The Midget AAA Yorkton Harvest of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League have announced 2010-11 player commitments from four players.

They are also going to be getting some help from four players who are all very familiar with Yorkton.Making the move up from the AA Midget Yorkton Terriers, born in 1993 and playing the position of forward, Ryley Stefanyshyn (Canora SK) recently signed on with the Harvest. The native of Canora finished second on the team in scoring and 11th in the South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League standings. Stefanyshyn's 38 goals and 13 assists in 35 games were good for tops in the league. He also contributed six power play goals and averaged 1.46 points per game

Stefanyshyn who was coached this past season by Dan Cross, while playing for the Kinsmen Midget AA Yorkton Terriers, was eligible to return to AA for one more year.

Cross said the way Stefanyshyn could play, there's no surprise he's making the jump up to AAA."No," said Cross when asked if he thought the move was any kind of surprise.

Cross also added that it's going to be a good move for a physical kid who isn't exactly known for his size.

"He's not the biggest guy on the team, but he's got good hockey sense and he's got grit."Cross himself will also be making a move as he was asked to help coach the Melville AAA Midget girls' team for next season.

The remaining recent Harvest signings all made the move up from Yorkton's AA Bantam club.Born in 1995, also at the position of forward and native of Yorkton, Tanner Lesann led his team in scoring with 34 goals and 33 assists in 26 games.

Adam McCannell finished with 15 goals and 27 assists in 24 games as well, Kailum Gervais, who made a few appearances in the Harvest jersey last season, showed enough to impress the AAA club and is set to join them for next season.

Gervais' numbers with the Bantam squad included 23 goals and 18 assists in 26-games.

Harvest head coach Graham Garrett says the four talented players should all help boost an offence that loses leading scorer Riley Storzuk to the Flin Flon Bombers.
