Last Thursday, Canadian Wrestling Elite (CWE) returned to Yorkton with an event that had the crowd cheering all night.
Held at Yorkdale Central School, the event (Nightmare on Elite Street) drew in one of the biggest crowds yet.
In the first match up,”Hotshot” Danny Duggan and The Mercenary beat the duo of Kute Kody and Tasty Travis when Duggan pinned Travis.
In the second match, “Tornado” Tony Kozina retained the Canadian Unified Jr. Heavyweight Title against ROH Star “The Octopus” Jonathan Gresham in a very closely contested match that ended in controversial fashion.
Third to take the ring were the ladies - ROH Star “The Gatekeeper” Kelly Klein was victorious over “The Last Pure Athlete” Jordynne Grace.
Next up, CWE Champion “Wrestling’s Strongest Man” Tyler Colton w/NWA/WCW Icon “The Russian Nightmare” Nikita Koloff retained against “The Crazed Cowboy” Jacob Creed with an incredibly impressive deadlift powerbomb.
In the next contest, the team of The Big Chief, “Killa” Kaz Karter, “The King Of Pong” Ethan Price and “The Red Ribbon Warrior” Kenji Brea were winners against CWE tag team champion Phil Atlas, Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya, “Second To None” Alex Anthony and The Canadian Cougar when The Big Chief hit a second rope big splash on a stacked Cougar and Anthony.
Finally, in what many are considering a major upset, CWE tag team champion Shane Sabre pinned ROH Star “The Last Real Man” Silas Young with a spear.
CWE have confirmed that they will be announcing a Yorkton return date very soon.
