Hudson Bay team tops Sandy Beach slo-pitch tournament

The Sandy Beach slopitch tournament and family picnic was held on June 20 at Sandy Beach located eight miles northwest of Norquay with 10 teams participating. All the teams were local with the exception of teams from Hudson Bay and Canora.

The Sandy Beach slo-pitch tournament B-side winner was Ken Newell’s team which defeated the Scared Hitless team. The Sandy Beach slopitch tournament and family picnic was held on June 20 at Sandy Beach located eight miles northwest of Norquay with 10 teams participating.

All the teams were local with the exception of teams from Hudson Bay and Canora.

The teams were: Hudson Bay Rejects, Scared Hitless, Foul Balls, Sandy Beach, Charlie’s Imports, Bomb Squad, Bench Warmers, Skeeters, Ken Newell and Canora Dirty Dancers.

The winner of the A side was the Hudson Bay Rejects who defeated the Canora Dirty Dancers. The B-side winner, Ken Newell’s team, won over the Scared Hitless team
