Of the five Kamsack Comprehensive Institute students who placed in the top 10 of their categories at the district cross-country competition on October 6, one qualified to advance to the provincial meet.

Sadie McGriskin, who had placed sixth in midget girls at the districts held at the Cherrydale Golf Course in Yorkton, advanced to the provincials at Delisle on Saturday, when students in grades 9, 10 and 11 ran.

Kira Kitsch, in midget girls, and Breanna Bland in senior girls, both placed eighth in their categories, while Curtis Berezowski, in weepee boys, placed ninth. Curtis McGriskin, a bantam boy competitor, obtained a top 10 ribbon but his placing was unclear because of the snowy weather which interrupted the runners.

The cross-country students are coached by Darren Kitsch, Julianna Nichol and Cory Johnson.
