Kenaston Advances to Hoopla '17

The Kenaston Kodiaks 1A girls’ basketball team will be hoping for championship glory this weekend in Regina, as the team ventures to the Queen City for the 2017 SHSAA Provincial Basketball Championships, also known as Hoopla.

The Kenaston Kodiaks 1A girls’ basketball team will be hoping for championship glory this weekend in Regina, as the team ventures to the Queen City for the 2017 SHSAA Provincial Basketball Championships, also known as Hoopla.

The team advanced to the provincial event after hosting 1A Regionals over March 10-11 in Kenaston, where the Kodiaks defeated Cupar at 69-12, and then bested Gladmar at 64-28.

Elsewhere in 1A Girls Regionals action, the LCBI Lady Bisons ventured to Asquith to participate, but they were defeated by Perdue at a close score of 54-51.  However, in a consolation game against Hillmond, the Lady Bisons were victorious at a score of 80-23.

The Kenaston Kodiaks take to the court in search of some hardware at Hoopla starting with a game against Lake Lenore on Friday afternoon, March 24 at the University of Regina.
