Donna Rock began her first season as manager of the Canora Golf and Country Club with the facility opened for the season on April 15.
The greens have been maintained well and the course has opened in fantastic condition, so the season is expected to have an excellent turnout, Rock said.
To encourage new and old golfers to return to the club, events have been organized, she said. Every Tuesday is Fun Night, and golfers can enjoy supper before teeing off. Men’s Night takes place on every Thursday. Golf tournaments are scheduled for July and August.
Rock said that the events have already been a great success, with over 60 people attending a recent Fun Night.
Rock is running the course with her husband, Darryl, and her daughter, Aly.
