Parkland AA Expos win road contest

YORKTON - The Parkland U18 AA Expos were in Estevan Sunday to play the Brewers jumping out to an early lead with a pair of first inning runs.

The Expos added one in the second and four in the fourth, then added three in both the fifth and seventh innings on their way to a 13-4 win.

Colton Hubic earned the victory for the Expos. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out ten.

Liam Baron threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jacob Mayor was the losing pitcher for the Brewers allowing seven runs on 10 hits in four innings of work.

The bright spot for the home side was a home run by Tanyan Strudwick in the fifth inning.

The Expos had an 11 hit day with Chris Cole, Brandon Spilchen and Baron all having a multi-hit day.

Up next for the Expos will see the team host the Regina Buffalos at Jubilee Park Friday at 7 p.m.
