The Preeceville and District Slo-Pitch League’s season came to a close on July 25 with Balls Deep recording seven wins and no losses.
Teams were: Balls Deep, Skeeters, Renslip, Thunder Monkeys, Parkland Pounders, Scared Hitless and Fully Loaded. Teams participated in a nine-game round robin league play.
"This season was one of the most competitive ones we have had, seeing very close final scores," said Riley Erickson, league president. "We had only lost a couple of nights due to rain, but our schedule did stay mostly on track and almost all games were played.
“It was decided due to the length of the schedule that we would not have a playoff round,” Erickson said. “Congratulations go out to the team of Balls Deep for finishing the season with a perfect 7-0 record.
"From talking to the players, everyone had a great time getting out for some fun and exercise,” he said. “We would like to encourage anyone who is interested in playing next year to give it a try. It's a great way to meet new people and have a lot a fun and exercise.”
