The Saskatchewan Provincial Age Class Cross-Country Championships were held in Yorkton on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Yorkton had a great showing at the meet, with many high place finishes.
In the bantam boys two-kilometer division, Justin Adam placed second with a time of 8:00. Jesse Horsman placed fourth with a time of 8:36.
In the midget women three-kilometer division, Zoe Flaman finished in fourth place with a time of 13:11. Paige Novakowski was eighth with a time of 15:04, and Kourtney Sheane placed ninth with a time of 17:54.
In the youth women four-kilometer division Kelsey Haczkewicz placed second with a time of 15:22. She will also be competing at the national meet on Nov. 26 in Kingston, Ont.
In the junior women five-kilometer race, Alex Flaman finished in second place with a time of 22:29.
And in the junior men eight-kilometer division, TJ McBride finished in first place, with a time of 27:39. McBride is currently attending the University of Regina, but is from Yorkton. He will also be going to Nationals in Ontario next month.
The Yorkton Legion Track Club is now taking registration for next season, and will be holding an open hour from Nov. 1-3 for anyone who would like to try it out before they commit to the club.
