The Yorkton Wildlife Federation capped off another good year with an awards banquet held last Saturday at the St. Marys Ukrainian Centre.

After handing out awards in a wide range of categories in both junior and adult categories, YWF president Heath Dreger also announced plans for renovations at the club's current hangout, the Yorkton Wildlife Federation clubhouse.

He also announced the YWF's involvement in the Logan Green Project, a detailed "fishing opportunity within the city limits", with whom there are several parties that have expressed interest in, including the Assiniboia Watershed Stewardship Association and the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority.

Following the handing out of almost 30 awards, Dreger spoke of plans to help improve the York Lake gun club with new flooring, work on the clubhouse's fireplace and the roof. Dreger closed by saying club membership "has been level" and they are always looking for more to join. Anyone wishing to become part of the YWF is encouraged to contact Dreger.
