Having lost the final home game on Thursday, the Canora Cougars senior foot-ball team has only one game left in the season.

The Cougars are to travel to Raymore on Friday. With a one-win, five-loss record going into the game, the boys know it will be the last game of season, said Kim Eiteneier, the head coach. The team cannot make the playoffs.

The final home game was played on October 8 against Ituna. Canora lost 50-12. Both of Canora’s touchdowns resulted from passes caught and long runs, said Eiteneier. Making the touchdowns were Austin Gress and Jilles Dussome. Kyle Strelioff was the quarterback, throwing the passes.

The junior Cougars football team also played last week, said Eiteneier. In Cudworth, the Cougars lost 34-6. In the first game of the season the previous week, the Junior Cougars lost 20-0.

The Cougars are to play in Porcupine Plain on October 14 and the final game of the year will be a home game on October 19.
