Practices have started at the Gloria Hayden Centre for the Yorkton girls' softball team. The team is still looking for players. Practice takes place on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m., on April 22.
The pro shop and the driving range at the Deer Park Municipal Golf Course is open for business as of Tuesday of this week. Any questions or queries can be directed to the pro shop.
The Yorkton Minor Hockey Association is hosting their year-end banquet this week, officially bringing an end to the hockey season in which numerous teams won league or provincial championships.
The Yorkton Harvest Spring Skate is scheduled for the weekend of April 27-29 at the Farrell Agencies Arena. The Yorkton Terriers Junior 'A' spring camp is also scheduled for the Farrell Agencies Arena this month.
The preparations for elementary school football is scheduled to start up on April 26 at the Yorkdale Central Public School. They play in two different leagues. The first one is 6-man football as well as a 9-man leagues. Their first game is scheduled for May 29.
The elementary school basketball City-wide tournament is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Boys and girls teams from all Yorkton schools will be playing off for Yorkton basketball supremacy. The finals are scheduled for Wednesday night starting at 6 p.m.
