The Parkland Racing Association will be holding their race finale on Sept. 17 at the Yellowhead International Speedway. Sponsored by C.J. Audio and Truck Accessories and Crystal Clear Imprints. Time of racing is 2 p.m. The Demolition Derby is scheduled for the following day at 2 p.m. Sponsor is Access Communications. Admission cost is $8 for those 13 years of age and over, $4 for those between 6-12 and those five years and under are admitted free of charge. The Sacred Heart senior team's football season will be starting up this week when they play Melville tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. The senior Saints will once again operate out of the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association's Conference III and will play against teams from Swan Valley, Esterhazy, Foam Lake, Kamsack and Melville. Including tomorrow's matchup with Melville, Sacred Heart will play in five games.
The Lady Saints of Sacred Heart soccer will continue their tournament schedule end. They will play one tournament on home soil later this month (Sept. 23-24). The girls came off a successful start this past weekend. For more details, see Page B4.
The Yorkton Harvest wrap up their home preseason games tonight at the Farrell Agencies Arena. The team is still in search of billet homes for three of their players, said Garth Simms, team president. Simms can be contacted at 783-0789 or 641-6200.
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season will be starting up this weekend in Weyburn for the Terriers. They play the following night (Sept. 17) against Weyburn to wrap up a home-and-home series. They also host Flin Flon on Sept. 21. Game time for all home games is 7:30 p.m. All home games are played at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
