Weston Dressler of the Saskatchewan Roughriders is coming to Yorkton on Canada Day. He will be at the Yorkton Co-op from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at 30 Argyle Str. The autograph signing is put on by the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan and the Yorkton Co-op. There is a limit of three items to be autographed per person.


The Yorkton Cardinals of the Western Major Baseball League had a rough road trip last week, winning two out of six games. The Cards were back at home last night (Tuesday) to host the Millionaires. The same two teams head to Melville for a Friday night game June 29 before meeting up for a third time on Canada Day. Opening pitch on Canada Day is at 7:05 p.m.


The Yorkton Cardinals of the South East Senior Baseball League added a fourth win to their season record Monday as they downed the Melville Bison 6-1. Next up for the Cardinals, who are even at 4-4, is a game with the Parkland Padres tomorrow night (Thursday) at Jubilee Park. Opening pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m.


The Deer Park Municipal Golf will be hosting Junior golf events each Thursday between now and Aug. 8. Events will feature skills, drills and a fun 9-hole competition. It runs from 3-6:30 p.m. and the cost is $10/person.


Golf Day in Saskatchewan is a province-wide day aimed to celebrate the game of golf. Head to your favourite golf course in Saskatchewan on June 26 and play a round. Golf Day in Saskatchewan is a joint initiative of Golf Saskatchewan and the PGA of Saskatchewan. The main focus this year will be juniors playing golf.
