The Health Foundation Charity Road Race Learn to Run clinics are still being offered Tuesday and Thursdays at 5:45 p.m. They are held at the YRHS parking lot. Anyone is welcome to join but must sign up for the Road Race in August. Clinics stress nutrition, stretching and pacing.



The Yorkton Bulldogs lacrosse team was in action twice this past weekend (see summary on next page). The team is travelling to Saskatoon for two games this weekend. The team also got a tie out of a protested loss from earlier in the season.



The Western Major Baseball League Yorkton Cardinals opened their season one week ago against Regina. They continue their home schedule this week with three games, including one scheduled for last night against Moose Jaw.



Deer Park Golf Course tournaments for the summer include the Parkland College Dollars for Scholars tournament. It is scheduled for June 17 and will host about 140 people.



The City will be offering a wakeboard clinic next month at York Lake. Registration deadline is on June 30. The cost is $65 per one-day clinic.
