The Prairie Wildfire Tae Kwon Do Challenge will be held Saturday at the Gallagher Centre Flexihall. Comptetion begins at 9:15 a.m..


The Prairie Wildfire Tae Kwon Do Challenge will be held Saturday at the Gallagher Centre Flexihall. Comptetion begins at 9:15 a.m.. The event is hosted by the Kee's TKD club and will involve approximately 40 other clubs from all over Canada, as well as the United States.



The Sacred Heart senior girls' volleyball team is hosting an eight-team tournament this weekend. The YRHS girls team will also be playing. Tournament action starts at 1 p.m., on Friday with Sacred Heart playing Esterhazy. All teams are asked to bring their own warm-up balls.



The Yorkton Harvest had an amazing showing last Thursday night when rookie Jake McMillen lit up Tisdale for four goals in a game last Thursday night in Tisdale. The Harvest will be looking to make up some ground this weekend when they host the Saskatoon Blazers. See story on Page B3.



The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Terriers had a busy week this week last week. They played three games with the Estevan Bruins (see story on this page). This week, they play Notre Dame (tonight at home at 7:30 p.m.) and then they play in Humboldt Saturday night before hosting Humboldt next Tuesday (Oct. 25). Yorkton currently sits tied for third place with the Red Wings.


The Yorkton Regional High School's senior football team is heading to Regina today for quarter-final action in Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association football post season.
