The Parkland Racing Association Inc., has released its stock car race schedule for the summer season.
There will be a total of seven race dates and one demo derby, scheduled for the final weekend on the schedule. All race dates start at 2 p.m.
Races start on the June 3 weekend. The second race is June 24.
The third date is July 29. Then it's Aug. 19 and there will be three dates in September, starting with the 16th, then back-to-back races on Sept. 29-30.
Admission rates for 2012 include: 13 and older: $8, 6-12: $4 and those 5 years of age and under are admitted free.
Anyone wishing more information on the Parkland Racing Association can contact Terry at 782-0301 or Ryan at 273-4894. The races and demolition derby are held at the Yellowhead International Speedway. The track is a medium bank and spans 3/8 miles (inside) and is 80 feet wide.
It is built on and leased from the City of Yorkton and constructed with donations from many individuals and local businesses. The clay track is designed for speed.
The Yellowhead Speedway is maintained by the Parkland Racing Association.
