The Yorkton Terriers are hosting their annual golf tournament on Thursday, August 31 at Deer Park Golf Course in Yorkton.
The tournament, which will be a modified version of a Texas Scramble, will have a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m.
As a fundraiser for the local junior A hockey team, there will be players and coaching staff around to interact with members of the community.
The cost to enter a team is $420, and to enter as an individual the cost is $110.
There are some major prizes to be won, including cash prizes of $5,000 and $10,000, and a car.
Eric Anderson, director of marketing and PR with the Terriers, said there will also be a few fun competitions and challenges.
“The first 144 golfers will be accepted, but spots are starting to dwindle down,” Anderson added.
Anderson also said that the tournament is a good way for corporate sponsors to meet the players.
Organizers are still looking for more sponsors and prizes for the tournament.
Anyone who is interested in donating a prize, sponsoring a hole or looking to register for the tournament can visit the Terriers website at www.yorktonterriers.com to find out more.
