UCT team wins two out of three

The Yorkton Bantam UCT Terriers spent 30 seconds on Hockey Night in Canada on Nov. 19, then they won two of three games they played in Saskatchewan Bantam AA Minor Hockey League action.

On Saturday (Nov. 19), they headed to Prince Albert to take on the Raiders. Yorkton managed only one goal in a 5-1 loss.

Prince Albert did most of the damage in the second period, scoring three times, all unanswered.

Yorkton got one back in the third to ruin the shut out attempt.

This past weekend, (Nov. 25), Yorkton struck back with a 2-0 win over the Weyburn Crescent Point Energy Red Wings at the Yorkton Kinsmen Arena.

Steven Ste. Marie and Tanner Mak tallied the lone goals.

Rylan Palchewich recorded the shut out in net.

Next up at the Kinsmen Arena was the Estevan Bruins.

On the strength of two Terrier goals in each of the three periods, Yorkton coasted to a 6-4 victory.

Josh Rohatynsky and Kylan Shea supplied four of the goals, while Ste. Marie and Mak also got in on the scoring.

Estevan made a game of it in the third with three goals, the final marker came with 2:50 remaining in regulation time.

NEXT ACTION

The next action for the Bantam UCT Terriers at home isn't until Dec. 18 when they host the Regina Hurricanes at home at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
