The Canadian Wrestling's Elite returned to Yorkton for a third time this past weekend.

They put on an eight-man show at the Agripavillion.

Danny Warren, general manager of the CWE said the group wasn't on a tour but just decided to make a stop back in Yorkton.

Warren said it's the crowd excitement that made him want to return to Yorkton.

"I enjoy coming here," he said. The group did a lot of touring following their last Yorkton show and said it's his hope they can make a fourth stop here one day down the road.

"It's always a good time here, no matter how big or small."

The CWE is based out of Winnipeg, but Warren said it's more fun stopping by in the smaller centres such as Yorkton and Dauphin because it brings the wrestlers closer to the fans.

"It goes a lot better in smaller venues," he told the paper. As for the sport itself, Warren said the popularity of it seems to be on the rise. "It's a novelty," he explains. "It's a really good experience," he added.
