Yankees starting pitcher Matt Totte earned his second win of the year, going six strong innings and giving up only two earned runs.

RelieverTom Cook came into the game in the top of the seventh facing loaded bases and none out.

He earned the save by retiring the only three batters he faced, two on strikeouts.

Scott Effa also pitched a strong game for the Royals. Willowbrook jumped out to an early, first-inning 2-0 lead.

The Yankees got back into the game on Kurt Karcha's two RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The score stayed tied until the sixth when the Yankees were able to score two runs on RBIs by Cook and Totte. Yankee runs were scored by Cook with two, while Bryce Pasloski and Garrett Karcha had one each.

Other Yankee hits were recorded by Pasloski (2), while Jeff Bahrey and Jeremy Johnson had one each.

Willowbrook runs were scored by Tyler Fletcher and Bobby Rodgers. The Yankees currently sit in the top three in South East Senior Baseball League Standings. They play the Junior Cardinals twice in the final week of June (28, 30).
