Yorkton has third period comeback win over SJHL Hounds

Yorkton’s next action is scheduled for Tuesday as they travel to Humboldt to face the Broncos, then head to Weyburn, Saturday, Jan. 13.

YORKTON - Saturday the Notre Dame Hounds rolled into the Westland Insurance Arena in Yorkton for SJHL action.

The Hounds and host Terriers played through a scoreless first period.

The middle stanza was a good one for Notre Dame as they scored the only goals of the frame Marko Djordjevic scoring at 6:56 and Alexander Hollands made it 2-0 at 10:24.

In the third the Terriers finally hit the scoresheet as Anthony Domina scored a short-handed effort at 11:36.

David Coyle scored at 14:17 to even things 2-2.

Then the Terriers completed a big third period comeback as Jaron Desnoyers notched what would be the game winner at 19:02.

Ethan Farrow was the winning netminder facing 23-shots, while Spencer Borsos took the loss for the Hounds facing 27-shots.
