Yorkton Maulers travel to face Tisdale Trojans

Next up the Maulers head to Saskatoon Tuesday to take on the Contacts.

Tisdale was in Yorkton Friday for action, before meting in Tisdale Saturday.

YORKTON -  The Yorkton Maulers were on the road Saturday for Saskatchewan Male U18 'AAA' Hockey League action.

The teams had met in Yorkton Friday too.

In Tisdale the host Trojans scored the only goal of the opening period, an effort by Jaxon Kehrig 9:33 into the contest.

Goals by Justin Whitrow and Lukas Borne made it 3-0 before the second period was five-minutes old.

Dylan Brass finally scored for the Maulers at 11:08.

Turner Krahn made it a 4-1 Trojan lead at 15:06.

Twenty-two seconds later Lucas Hvidston responded with a Mauler marker to make it a 4-2 contest.

A powerplay goal 28-seconds into the final frame by Tisdale’s Simon Martin made it 5-2.

It was 6-2 in favour of the Trojans when Taren Erhardt scored at 2:38 of the third.

And that would be the end of scoring; a four-goal win for the hometown Trojans.

Wyatt Bouvier was in net for Yorkton facing 38-shots in the loss.

Jackson Dunn was in net for Tisdale. He faced 27-shots in the win.

Next up the Maulers head to Saskatoon Tuesday to take on the Contacts.
