The YRHS senior boys volleyball team competed in the 5A Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association (SHSAA) senior boys' provincial championships of volleyball over the weekend.
It was held at Carlton Comprehensive High School in Prince Albert.
The season came to an end for the YRHS team as they lost in the quarter final to Prince Albert St. Mary's, said YRHS coach Dion Pfeifer.
"We played well at times. We weren't consistent enough against top teams."
The YRHS team went through the round robin with one win and three losses, losing to Regina Campbell and North Battleford in the round robin.
St. Mary's went on to win the gold, North Battleford placed second and Campbell took third, says Pfeifer.
Not returning to the school next year are the following players: Jason Blommaert, Tyler Boychuk, Kostas Karachalios, Stephen Hutton and Daniel Brown.
