The Yorkton United Football Club hosted its annual banquet and awards ceremony on Saturday, Mar. 11 at the Gallagher Centre.
There were approximately 230 guests, including soccer players, family members, coaches and more.
This year’s guest speaker was Brett Levis of the Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club.
Levis is from Saskatoon. He played for the University of Saskatchewan soccer team before going on to join the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Levis was there to present the Yorkton players with awards throughout the night.

Athletes of the year
The criteria for these awards were fairly straight forward. It involved things like commitment to soccer, volunteer work with the club, personal accomplishments and team accomplishments. Other factors like time with the club and soccer outside the club were taken into account.
The male athlete of the year was Austin Thomas.
The female athlete of the year was Alison Berge.
