A letter to the Mayor and Town of Kamsack

Students from the Victoria Elementary School in Kamsack had something to say.

We are the Grade 1/2 class from Victoria School. We have been learning about how we can help our community and earth. We have noticed many masks on the ground around the school yard and the town of Kamsack. We are very concerned about the mask pollution that is happening all over the earth. We know why we must wear masks. We want everyone to be safe.

We are worried that all the mask pollution could hurt animals and our earth. We would like to help solve this problem. We are doing our part by cleaning up our school yard to keep our school clean and nice. We have made videos and signs to share with our school community to help our students remember that masks need to go in the garbage and not on the ground.

We would like to help the community as well. We have made some signs for our town. If you would like to put them around the community to help others remember where to throw disposable masks that would be great.

Thank you for reading our letter and all you do to keep Kamsack safe and clean for everyone.
