Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Parksville Royals baseball team, coaches and parents of players, I would like to offer my sincere thank you to the many volunteers who put on an outstanding Western Canadian Midget Boys and Pee Wee Girls’ baseball tournament. I am fully aware of the amount of time and effort necessary to host a successful tournament; hosting two at the same time is virtually unheard of. Both of your tournaments were outstanding!
You have a wonderful baseball complex in Jubilee Fields. Despite the damp day on Saturday the tournament went on with barely a hiccup. This was due to the dedicated efforts of the grounds crew who provided quality surfaces to play on for the entire tournament.
Our team and parents enjoyed our stay in your community. The people at the park were graciously, supporting and informative. Our accommodation could not have better.
I had a chance to explore your community and surrounding area. I was impressed with the many parks and fields you have. Flat ground is not so prevalent in BC! May I add that your community recreation complex is awesome!
Thanking for your hospitality and thank you for hosting two very successful tournaments. Feel proud of your efforts!
