Dear Editor:

Recently there was some vandalism in Yorkton. One of our board members was victimized during this time and had their vehicle stolen. In the vehicle were a set of jerseys that were to be given to the new soccer governing body in the City. Since then, the vehicle was recovered and jerseys located, they were used to attempt to get the vehicle unstuck, approximately 10 jerseys were ruined. Since we are in process of amalgamating, we had no insurance coverage for the jerseys. You have taken what was to be a joyous occasion and turned it into one of disbelief and have upset many members of our organization. We doubt you will given sufficient penalty or ever repay all the homeowners for what you damaged and stole. Perhaps if you criminals had spent more time in sports, you would appreciate the work that goes into running an organization for youth and the countless hours to make the program work.

We would say feel very ashamed, own up to what you have done and pay full restitution to all parties involved, but no doubt you are cowards. On a positive note, both Yorkton Soccer Association & Yorkton United F.C. are working diligently with Source Embroidery to get jerseys replaced in the very near future so they can be put to good use and show the community what are youth are very capable of.
