Arson of old buildingOn May 29 at approximately 5:45 p.m., Yorkton RCMP attended to a location that is three miles north of Highway 16 on the Orkney Road and then 12 miles east. Culprits started a fire in an old shed on the property and left the scene on quads. Damage was done to the door frame and floor of the old building.

Possession for Purpose Cannabis MarihuanaDuring the morning hours of June 3rd Kamsack RCMP entered into an investigation concerning persons transporting cannabis marihuana into the Kamsack district for re-sale. As a result of this investigation a vehicle was stopped in the Town of Kamsack. A quantity of cannabis marihuana along with cannabis resin and cash were located in the vehicle. A 32 year old resident of the Veregin district has been charged with possession of cannabis marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis resin, and possession of property obtained by crime. This individual has been released from custody and will be appearing in Kamsack Provincial Court in June.
Kamsack RCMP encourage anyone with information concerning illegal drug activity to call the Kamsack Detachment at 542-5560 or to call Crime Stoppers.
Aggravated Assault ChargesOn June 2nd at approximately 10:24 PM the Broadview Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police responded to a complaint of a large brawl on the Cowessess First Nation which is approximately 20 Kms north of Broadview, Saskatchewan.
Upon arrival to the location a 37 year old Aboriginal male was found to be in serious condition and was transported to the Regina General Hospital where he is currently in critical, but stable condition. A 38 year old Aboriginal male and a 40 year old Aboriginal male, also involved in the fight, received several injuries and were treated and released from the Broadview and Regina hospitals.
Through the course of investigation the Broadview RCMP, with the assistance of Yorkton General Investigation Section and Yorkton Police Dog Service arrested 6 Aboriginal males who are all from the Cowessess First Nation.
The following 6 males have been charged with Aggravated Assault and will be making their first court appearance in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on Monday, June 7th at 9:30 AM.

Somtime between March 1st and March 15th. Culprits entered the property and took a .22 Haiwatha .22 caliber, some wrenches and gasoline.
Members have attended to a number of break and enters and thefts from farmyards North of Aaran, Pelly and Norquay areas.
