Dear Editor:
As a former resident of Yorkton, I tend to wonder if Yorkton actually needs a second liquor store. Is the population base enough to justify such a business? Where would it go? When I lived there one could basically walk across the city in half an hour. Sure a private liquor store offers different things. The two here in Saskatoon are really nice and offer all sorts of things that the SLGA stores don’t but, to be honest, I have been in each one once since they have opened. Yorkton has to look at it’s size and location and try to justify to itself whether a second liquor store is a good idea or not. Just because it pops up doesn’t mean that it is needed.
