So we are headed to a vote Oct. 21, to elect the next edition of Canada’s federal government. In the next month leading up to the vote we will be inundated by efforts to get people voting for one political party, or another.

Dear Editor: The following is a formal response from the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation to Murray Mandryk’s September 12, 2019 column in Yorkton This Week, Teachers reveal urban/rural divide.

I would like to preface this letter to the editor with some sage Biblical advice written by St.

At a recent family gathering, my brother told my nephew that no matter what their eventual child is, they are getting a football for their first gift.

I had a very weird experience driving home late one night. It had never happened to me before, nor has it happened ever since. It occurred almost six months ago, near the end of March. I was driving home from my friend Kyle’s down in Swift Current.

We were an excited group of fifth graders when we found out our principal was going to be on TV.

It’s surprisingly easy to forget that a federal election is on the horizon. Part of the reason for that is Canadian election rules, of course.

What sets rural and urban Saskatchewan apart tends to be a re-occurring theme in this province. There are simply differences between urban and rural needs and concerns. We need to recognize this.
