Dear Editor: In honour of Yorkton Pride Week May 12th through 20th 2018, I am writing to celebrate diversity.

There are times when a community should take a moment and metaphorically pat itself on the back. This is one of those times for our town.

The reader “Disappointed in attitudes” comments printed in the May 2 edition of the Canora Courier have been read with interest.

I would like to take this opportunity to address some of the incorrect information in Mr. Gervais’ letter to the editor. Your letter stated this council has held “secret meetings” for three years. I have been Reeve for 15 months.

Tide comes in, tide comes out. Flowers blossoms and whither. The earth completes its orbit around the glowing ball of fire that threatens to envelop it someday.
