There are games out there that should be in every household where board games are ever played.

A cadre of nameless henchmen point their guns at a group of unarmed civilians. The camera cuts to an adorable child to raise audience engagement. A trigger-happy goon takes aim. Suddenly, a powerful blow knocks the criminals away.

This is the time of year to unwind from gardening: our gardens are under their winter blanket of snow, plants we are wintering-over are safely in the house, and we can sit back and breathe a sigh of relief.

I didn’t grow up in a particularly diverse town. The majority of people were not only German Catholics, they were German Catholics who mostly came from the same rough area of Germany when they immigrated.

Notwithstanding the fact that rural Saskatchewan voters will likely determine the next Premier, there has been surprisingly little discussion about what rural Saskatchewan will look like.
