I hope your Halloween was a fruitful one (or a candy-ful one).

Dear Editor, Justin Trudeau is nothing but a joke. Nine percent of Canadians 14.3 million Canadians who live with one type diabetes are not going to vote for Justin Trudeau.

T he Saskatchewan government brought down its plan for the upcoming session with the presentation of its Throne Speech. To say the speech lacked pizazz would be an understatement, although that should not have come as too great a surprise.

On the surface, Happy Death Day has all the trappings of a horror-comedy film. It has a masked killer, jump scares aplenty, and a series of brutal murders (all bloodless, of course.

The grandbeans bring me broken things. Threadbare stuffies, dolls with dangling or severed limbs, shoes with separated soles, a broken lamp. I deposit the smaller items in an old blue pottery bowl that sits on a chest in the dining room.

Continuing with a look at some older games worth play we look at Alquerque this week. Alquerque (also known as Qirkat) is a strategy board game that is thought to have originated in the Middle East.

At this time of year, when we aren’t doing yard work anymore, it’s a good time to sit back and dip into an interesting gardening book! Stop by the Library and see the wonderful selection of gardening books available.

A few weekends ago, I drove through Hell. I was riding the highway back to Yorkton. I’d just spent the day in Asessippi Park in Manitoba. Side-bar: I can’t recommend this park enough.
