OUTLOOK - The town of Outlook was still buzzing with activity with the last day of the Prairie Festival on Sunday, June 1, but across town at the Jim Kook Rec Plex grounds, a day of ball games kept kids and families entertained.

Outlook Amateur Sports Day brought local and visiting teams together that ran the age gamut, allowing kids of various skill levels to play the game in front of groups of supportive parents and the cheering public.

From Rally Cap to Under-18 players, the day of ball action provided a chance for people to see virtually all kids of all age groups hit the diamond.

Utilizing all five diamonds on the Rec Plex grounds, Diamond 1 saw Under-11 and Under-13 teams play softball, including Outlook teams facing off against visiting rosters from Hanley, Dundurn, and Twin City. Next door on Diamond 2, more Under-11 action saw Outlook take on Kindersley, Elrose, and Lucky Lake. Diamond 3 saw Outlook take on Leader and the Cardinals in Under-18 action. Next to these games over on Diamond 4 was Senior Rally Cap action, which saw Outlook take on Kenaston, Kindersley, and Eston. Finally, on Diamond 5, some Junior Rally Cap games saw Outlook take on Dinsmore, while the Under-11 Outlook team squared off with Eston, and the Under-15 Outlook squad faced off with Saskatoon.

Over 20 ball games throughout the day were played, giving everyone a chance to take in a game and see how these young athletes are progressing in the sports of softball and baseball.
