REGINA - A friendly betting wager between the mayors of Outlook and Kindersley saw one of them don the other's colours at the SUMA convention on Monday, April 4.

Outlook mayor Maureen Weiterman and Kindersley mayor Rod Perkins had themselves a bet as the Outlook Ice Hawks and Kindersley Klippers entered into the Provincial 'B' Championship series recently. The agreement was simple: if Kindersley were to win the series and the provincial title, Weiterman would wear a Klippers jersey at the SUMA convention. If Outlook were to emerge victorious, Perkins would put on an Ice Hawks jersey.

Well, as everyone knows, Outlook was indeed the victorious squad on Monday night, March 28, taking the provincial 'B' championship in an exciting game that had everyone on their feet. As such, Kindersley's mayor made good on his end of the bet, and on Monday, April 4 at the convention in Regina, Perkins was given his Ice Hawks jersey, which he slipped on in front of the entire room before posing for a photo with Mayor Weiterman.

The maroon and gold looks good on ya, Mr. Mayor!
