Lisa Moen and her band kept the tunes going for hours in Conquest.

CONQUEST - If you were in the village of Conquest on the night of Saturday, September 4, or even within a few clicks of it, the odds are pretty good that you may have heard the music of Lisa Moen and her band.

With over 250 tickets sold, the group entertained a healthy turnout of spectators at the Conquest rink grounds, putting on a concert as a way to help the Conquest Fire Department raise funds for further upgrades to the local fire hall. Also on hand were Royce and Lorna Taylor of AG Foods, selling barbecue burgers, and Happy Days Mobile Snacks, providing some confectionary refreshments.

The all-ages event started at approximately 9:00, and Lisa and her band could be heard tuning up the town as late as 1:00 am before wrapping up shortly afterward.

Organizers say the event did "very well", but the total amount raised for the fire department is unknown at press time as they're still finalizing the numbers.
