Outlook daycare Halloween bash is frightful fun

First-ever party draws sizable crowd, may become an annual event moving forward.

OUTLOOK - People of Outlook and area got into a spooky state of mind when they attended the Halloween party hosted by the Small Steps Early Learning Centre on Saturday night, October 22.

Held at the Outlook Civic Centre, the event served as a fundraiser for the facility, and people seemed to be in a giving state of mind. With a silent auction providing a sizable list of items, as well as a 50/50 cash prize draw that grew throughout the evening, there seemed to be something that drew the eye for everyone.

By evening's end, the 50/50 draw had grown to a total pot of $6,735, and the winning ticket belonged to Kathy Crozier.

While the drinks flowed, the free popcorn got munched and the candy was enjoyed, attendees enjoyed the magic of Matt Gore, who took to the stage to perform a 45-minute show that stunned the audience. Dubbed the 'Ginger Ninja', the South African native Gore provided laughs on top of some eyebrow-raising magic feats.

The success of the party seemed to indicate that it may become an annual event in Outlook.
