Outlook museum gives advance showing to audience

An invite-only evening shed light on the renovations and redesign of the museum.

OUTLOOK - A special invite-only event at the Outlook & District Heritage Museum showed off the renovations and decorations that have transformed the inside of the building.

Held on Monday night, March 27, a select group of people showed up and enjoyed finger foods, desserts and drinks while touring the museum, taking in all of the displays, photos, memorabilia and iconic pieces that currently take up residence.

The advance-showing event was offered to museum members and to community volunteers who stepped up and contributed efforts during the museum's recent Jail 'n Bail fundraiser.

People wandering through couldn't help but be marveled at the rejuvenation that the museum has undertaken.

It's said that until the museum opens up for the summer season, visits can be arranged in order to host the public, as well as family, friends, classrooms and coworker groups.

In addition to the work done in the main building, a grant from New Horizons for Seniors was awarded to the museum in the form of $9,000 to go towards converting the two washrooms into one large, barrier-free and wheelchair-accessible washroom.
