ELBOW - A concert taking place next month in the lakeside village of Elbow is serving as the kickoff for a unique tour taking place around the province.

Musician Jeffery Straker, a mainstay on the yearly Telemiracle broadcast, is going to be touring Saskatchewan in support of his upcoming new album, 'Great Big Sky', and as a way to celebrate the release on June 7, a special tour has been decided that will see Straker perform a number of outdoor shows.

The shows will actually be taking place at the site of the local elevator in each community on his tour itinerary. Called the "Prairie Skyscraper Concert Series", Straker will kick off the interesting tour on Saturday, June 15 with a show in Elbow by the elevator. Tipping his hat to the prairies, Straker is performing seven shows dotting the province on this tour, playing near or even in elevators at each stop, which includes shows in Riverhurst, Hepburn, and Southey.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for the show, and ticket information can be obtained by contacting the Village of Elbow.
