In addition to a number of vintage cars shined and looking good, The Reflections, the duo of Ray Sedley and Norm Sharp provided music.

The sale runs today (Thursday), until 7 p.m. and again Friday from 9 a.m. until noon.

The money will go to assist children aged five-to-18 of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sports programs.

Adding to the atmosphere was good old live rock’n’roll by the bands Rocketbilly with lead singer Cole Smith.

The cavalcade of semis, half tons and other vehicles were taking part in a local effort that was part of a Farmers Worldwide Slow Roll.

The evening event was a good warm-up for the second annual Tapps Sports Lounge & Grill car show set for Saturday.

The show was held on Broadway Street West along Highway 52.

The sale is being held over the next three days, going until 6 p.m. today (Thursday), then from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
