Willie Walters was born September 16, 1918 at Kayville, Sask. Passed away peacefully at the Preeceville Long Term Care with family at his side September 5, 2015. In 1931 as a result of the Great Depression his mom and dad, his 3 brothers and 5 sisters moved north of Okla. In 1939 he married his sweetheart Tillie Alberts.

On their farm 1 mile north of Okla they raised their 4 children. He cut cord wood. They raised and milked cows to make a living. In 1957 he went to work on the pipeline where he said he made good money. In 1969 he lost his loving wife as a result of a car accident. After losing his wife he worked on PFRA pastures as a rider, raised mink at Cook’s and at the age of 95 was still helping his grandson Chris farm.

He was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed help. He always enjoyed company of every age from the very youngest to people his own age. Predeceased by his wife in 1969, grandchildren Kim and Colleen Cook in 1974 and daughter Delores in 2010.

He leaves to mourn his son Melvin (Linda), Saskatoon, Gailene (Raymond), Preeceville, Debbie (Danny), Yorkton, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Alma, Jean and Dorothy, many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
