Sturgis vintage car show attracts 27 vehicles and many lookers

Automobile enthusiasts welcomed the opportunity to show off their prized possessions.

STURGIS – A car show and show that attracted a variety of vintage car enthusiasts was a huge success with 27 entries during the Sturgis Sports Day on June 26.

“It was another great show with a lot of support from the local and surrounding area,” said Bob Bartch, organizer.

The top four fan favourites were chosen by the votes of those in attendance.  

The top People’s Choice was won by John Dvorak of Swan River (1950 Ford Coupe) sponsored by Jamie’s Bobcat Services. The second People’s Choice award was presented to Darnell Kobelka of Canora (1967 Pontiac GTO) and sponsored by Sturgis Sports and Rodeo. The third award went to Jack Lesanko of Sturgis (El Camino) which was sponsored by Autumn’s Place, and the fourth award went to Lora Cole of Swan River (1969 Road Runner) sponsored by Darrell Kobelka.
