The editor: ATV safety is hardly child’s play. In fact, when it comes to the various dangers associated with off-roading, children are the most vulnerable demographic.

It was just a little smoke ... or rather, a lot of wood smoke blanketing southern Saskatchewan like about a million campfires.

An 18-year-old passenger on an ATV (quad) died as result of his injuries from an accident near the Kamsack sports grounds on July 1. Kamsack RCMP report that at 3:15 a.m.

Seniors from across the area gathered together for some fun and laughter as they challenged each other in numerous games held during the Preeceville Club 60 fun day on June 16.

Students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 were acknowledged for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year during an awards program on June 26.

Parents and grandparents gathered to celebrate the achievements of students in the three-year-old class and the four-year-old class at the Preeceville Legion Hall on June 18. “Today, I give you back your children,” said Lori Newton, teacher.

As I travel around the southeastern part of the province the crops are up and growing and I see sprayers in the field. I also see lots of spray, hoses and pumps sitting next to wetland areas.

The final student-of-themonth awards for the 2014- 15 school year at Preeceville School were presented on June 19. Crossroads Credit Union sponsors the program.
