Marjorie Eileen Zid was born in Yorkton on May 30, 1923. She was the first child born to Ed and Anne (Lang) McPhee. Marjorie lived her childhood years in the Springside District and received her education at Beaver School. Marjorie is predeceased by her parents and her two sisters Effie and Mary. She will be remembered by her half brother and sisters; Billy (Adeline) and Ruthie. Her nephews and nieces; Rob, Don, Heather and Debbie Lindsay, Leanne Matsalla, Jody McPhee, John and Jeff McPhee. Marjorie spent the last eight years of her life in the Yorkton District Nursing Home, for which we as her family are most grateful for the care, compassion and respect shown to our sister and Aunt. Marjorie had a passion for music and it was one of the things that brought her comfort and peace in troubling times. As you pass to “the other side” Marjorie, may there be a song in your heart that will bring you joy as never before. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, December 15 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey officiating. Special hymns were “What a Friend we Have in Jesus”, “Old Rugged Cross”, “Jesus Loves Me”, “How Great Thou Art” and “In My Heart There Rings a Melody” with Debbie Thompson and Noreen Kriger as soloists and Ruth McPhee the accompanist. An interment took place in Yorkton City Cemetery.
