YORKTON - The annual AZ Golf For Charity event organized by Alec Zawatsky raised approx. $20,000 this year.
The event held Aug. 1, at the Good Spirit Lake Gold Result saw 144 golfers take part.
The money raised will go to the Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer – Local Cancer Initiatives Program to fund local cancer initiatives for East Central Saskatchewan through the Health Foundation and the expansion of the Community Oncology Program as well as donations to be directed through the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan for pancreatic cancer research.
Donation were made in honour of Cathy Zawatsky.
