Holiday Train makes stop in Yorkton

Stop featured a festive performance from Canadian alternative rock group, "Anyway Gang."

YORKTON – Hundreds gathered at the intersection of Livingstone Street and Fourth Avenue to take in the entertainment from the CPKC Holiday Train.

Canadian alternative rock group, "Anyway Gang," were on board to deliver festive renditions of their music and holiday classics.  Hot chocolate and hot dogs were available by donation with all proceeds going to the Yorkton Salvation Army.

The Holiday Train tours Canada and the United States Nov. 20 through Dec. 19, raising money, food and awareness for the important work that food banks do in their communities. Now in its 25th season, the Holiday Train has raised more than $22.5 million and more than 5 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America, according to an article on CPKCR.com.
