Yorkton Film Festival announces 2024 call for submission

Submissions are now open from now until Jan. 31.

The call for submissions is running from now until Jan. 31, 2024. Super Early Bird pricing is in effect until Nov. 10, with Early Bird pricing running until Dec. 14.

YORKTON – The Yorkton Film Festival, North America’s longest running film festival, announced its 2024 call for submissions opened on October 10, 2023, with 3 new categories.

“Call for submissions is always an exciting time of the year for us in the office,” said YFF Executive Director Randy Goulden. “From now until the close of submissions on January 31, we’ll be reaching out to filmmakers and producers across Canada and looking for the next wave of Golden Sheaf Award winners.”

The 3 new categories are Outstanding Colour Grading, Best Commercial – open to content creators Canada wide and Best Commercial Saskatchewan, open to Saskatchewan creators only.

“YFF evaluates the award categories yearly and monitors the industry in order to stay relevant and reflect the trends of film and television. This year opening the three new categories” said Randy Goulden.

The call for submissions is running from now until Jan. 31, 2024. Super Early Bird pricing is in effect until Nov. 10, with Early Bird pricing running until Dec. 14. For a full list of categories for the 2024 Festival, and details on how to submit your films, visit the festival website.

Established 1947, Yorkton Film Festival call for submissions is open to filmmakers from across Canada and highlights the best in short Canadian cinema.

The Yorkton Film Festival runs May 23 – 25 of 2024.
