Promotes reconciliation and Métis heritage

The Village of Lintlaw welcomed over 700 visitors and past residents home during its centennial celebrations on June 28, 29 and 30.

Members of the Amateur radio operators in the North Prairie Radio Club were joined by other radio operators in a second annual amateur radio field day on June 22. The field day was held at the acreage of the Bob and Lorraine Drayer of Sturgis.

The Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District wants to see kids active from across the region. They’re touring different towns across the region with their summer tour, giving kids many activities to take part in.

Band students at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute showed the public what they learned during the past year during the school’s annual lawn concert held at the Kamsack Hospital grounds on June 10.

Host provincials this weekend

There were two goals at the Pink Ribbon Classic, hosted by the Deer Park Ladies’ Golf Club on July 13. They were raising money for breast cancer research, and they were having fun doing it.

Traffic was busy in Veregin as the 75th annual Shishliki barbecue was hosted by the Veregin recreation board on June 29. The fires were lit at approximately 8 a.m.
